"A Brief History of the Nicholas Shifler Family and a Genealogical Family Register - 1775-1942" and also a supplement to this book that was published in 1960. It has the genealogy of the Shifler's of Boonesboro, with connecting lines.

My name is Betty Martz and I have been doing research for nearly 27 years.  My husbands father gave us a book titled "The Martzes of Maryland"  A history of Martz of Maryland by Ralph Fraley Martz.  It is a history and genealogy of the early Martzes and where they arrived in America and the paths they blazed across this country.  (Ralph's words)  It was printed in 1973.  I would be more than glad to offer look-ups from this book.

Edie Eader, 394 Prospect Blvd., Frederick MD 21701 Edie Eader will copy wills from the Frederick County will books. He is working with the blessing of the Registrar of Wills, as with the publication of the new will index by Paw Prints, they are afraid that the county clerks will be swamped with requests. The county clerks will copy wills only if they have time. Which means that there may be long delays in dealing directly with the county. Edie will not do research for people, as this is intended merely as a copy service.
