Frederick County, Maryland References and Sources

found in the LDS Family History Center

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as the LDS Church or the Mormon Church supports a very large genealogical library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Mormons also support and staff with volunteers branch libraries known as Family History Centers in facilities all over the United States and the world. These Family History Centers offer the capability of ordering microfilms and microfiche for viewing locally. For your convenience, we have included the Family History Library Catalog (FHLC) Call Number of each source listed. If the source is listed as a book, you may be able to get the Family History Library to copy it on microfiche for your viewing pleasure. The sources listed as microfilm or microfiche may be ordered and kept on file at the local Family History Center indefinitely.  The LDS Church also has online a great wealth of information at the FamilySearch Website. On the bottom of the MidAtlantic Roots Network main page, you may search for the nearest Family History Center to you.
