! Copyright FamilyHart 2009 - .As a youngster Floy attended a number of l ocal school facilities. To start,
Grades 1 & 2 were spent in Chattanooga, OK. Grade 3 was spent in a one ro om
school called SUNNY SIDE (?).Then grade 4 was spent at the Chattanooga Me thod-
ist Church as the old one room school burned to the ground.It was then ba ck to
to Chattanooga for grades 5 thru 9. The remaining three years were spen t at
Cache High School,Cache, OK. where she graduated in 1946. She attended Ca meron
Jr. College, Lawton, OK, during 1947. Then she went to work as a telephon e
operator for South Western Bell from 1948-1951.During this time she met t he
love of her life on a blind date. At the time he was stationed at Ft. Sil l,
OK.. In her travels with her husband she worked for Mountain States Bell,
EL Paso, Tx., from 1951-1989. Then it was on to being an officer's wife a nd a
busy mother until 1968. She again entered the work force as Nurse Aide fo r the
Indiana Pythian Home. Floy worked for them 22 years when she was forced t o
medically retire in 1990. Floy, my beautiful wife, passed away 21 July 19 93
after 43 years of married life. I morn her passing when I know I should
rejoice, for she has been called to play her beautiful music for the LORD . She
died from Pancreatic Cancer, an insidious disease that slowly and painful ly
sucks the from the body. Through it all she maintained a happy, cheerfull
disposition knowing that she was going to be with GOD.
