Emmert, In the Mineral Creek church Johnson Co., Mo., July 15, sister Lyd ia, wife of Jonathan Emmert, aged 72 years, 4 months and 8 days. Decease d was born in Washington County, Md., March 7, 1818. Nov. 26, 1884, thi s dear sister was struck with paralysis which took from her the power t o walk. For nearly six years she was seated in her invalid chair, which s he could move about from place to place in the house. She did not murmu r or complain but was cheerful and patient looking forward to the time wh en she would be released from the bond of affliction and be at liberty. W e feel sure that her wish is now fully realized. She leaves a bereaved hu sband, a son, a daughter and grandchildren to mourn their loss. Funeral s ermon by Bro Jacob Witmore from the words, "I have fought a good fight, " etc. to a sympathizing congregation at Centre View, Mo., where decease d was buried. Amanda Witmore
